Just Wanted to Remind You

The Coronavirus has changed things so dramatically for so many people. It has also prevented us from doing the things we used to do everyday. So I asked my friends and family to send their future selves a voicemail reminding them to do the things they miss the most.

2018

As a photojournalism major I have learned a lot about documenting lives and stories throughout my time at Ohio. So it only felt right to document my own life as well, even if that meant only taking a second from each day. As many of my friends and family know, back at the beginning of 2018 I decided to take up the challenge of capturing one second of video every day for the entire year. Now, a year later, I am finally able to share the completed video!

Much like each day, each second of the video is not filled with exciting and over the top events. Some days are mundane and some can seem to drag on. But if I have learned anything from this process it’s that I am surrounded by so many amazing people and opportunities who have all contributed in shaping me into who I am today. This project was extremely rewarding. It has allowed me to capture laughs and memories, both good and bad, and given me the chance to look back on my year and remember all that has happened in the past 365 days. I would recommend it to everyone. It might seem like a lot but trust me, it’s worth it!
